Gpd 4 pocket battery wire

Hi everyone,

I bought a GPD Pocket 4 about 4 months ago, the AI390HX version. Overall it has been great but I have had one recurring issue. Sometimes the laptop just refuses to charge. After reading some posts here the only fix I found was disconnecting the battery. So every now and then I had to open the case and unplug the battery cable from the motherboard.

That always worked because the laptop would start charging again. But after doing this several times I think the connector got worn out. Now I cannot properly reconnect the battery to the board anymore.

Has anyone else run into this and what can I do now?

Hi I have similar problem too. After using the pocket 4 for just a few months, the battery stop charging. Detach and re-attach the batt cable does not help in my case. I wrote to GPD service support, they were silent for many days til they came back and asked where I bought this unit from. After telling them the shop name, they told me to contact that shop instead. It is not a good experience for me for this brand on how they treat customers.
