Hi
Today I have received win max 2 4TB. I have configured windows without any problem. But when I have restarted the device the screen was with light but black. Then I connected other monitor and could see windows. The way to go was to turn it off and then resetting bios with the hole (I read something similar). Then It works. But when I turn it off I have the same problem. I starts without image. Is it related with a driver? with a faulty mother board? I would like to use the recovery partition before returning the unit but I cant find the way. The the iso image cannot be downloaded from google play. Any suggestion?
I have the same problem.
I bought the GPD Win Max 2 (2025) HX370 64GB/2TB from DroiX and I received it last week.
Today I shipped it back for RMA.
I will update this forum and the Reddit post about my situation.
Mine will reach droix on Wednesday
Please keep this thread (and Reddit) uodated because it’s important to understand how this situation will evolve. Thank you and good luck!
Hello everyone,
I have the same issue. New device. On the first boot up, I saw both screens the internal and externally connected screen. Since then I only get a picture on the external screen. The internal screen stays black (with backlight), even if the external screen is not connected.
Hi there. Ask for an RMA. This is what we did. Now waiting for a new unit
Any updates on this issue guys ? i’ve got the same problem on my Pocket 4
Currently It seems a hardware problem so the only way to go is RMA
I think its likely a software/bios/driver issue - at least in my case.
In the last two days, when I started the device from cold boot, the screen is suddenly working fine, but then after some windows new starts or reboots during the day, it stops working again. However, when its working, unless I perform a reboot, the screen stay on and is working fine. If it were a hardware issue, I think the screen would also turn off during operation or would show other artifacts…
I am trying to analyze what is causing this behaviour but its very difficult. It seems windows is using the default monitor.inf driver for this display- which is propably correct… i dont know.
Yeah mine is the same it boots to GPD logo then goes black when loading the OS, i have also removed AMD drivers and it works fine with no issues so far.
In some ocassions windows booted correctly and then suddenly the screen turned black. So It not only happens during reboots but being working with windows as well. But as I told before, I have seen it being in bios menu and restarting to bios, so no windows here in the equation. I dont know the reason, how knows
