What happens instead of changing Boot options, you simply go the the Save & Exit tab and from there choose boot override and select the USB drive. Also was the USB drive a bootable one, did you use rufus to make it a bootable drive and then copy the zip contents of the windows firmware? By this I am asking whether you reformatted the drive after you made it bootable once.
